Am I Really all the Things that are Outside of Me?

This installation was made in 2023 by Alessandro Bevilacqua and Nina Ceranic. It features a Bed, with a slightly abnormal pillow and trippy sheets. If you sit on the Bed you will notice there is an opening in the Pillow. When you get closer a little light will shine on your face. If you want, you can let your cheeks touch the cottony insides of the Pillow, so that you get a full look at what’s inside.
In this space-within-a-space, we see shapes, textures, light and colors. Every corner has a rich visual suggestion

The grotesque peephole in the pillow reveals a scene within: enigmatic and mysterious, but familiar at the same time.
The installation plays with the expectation of the viewer by combining two different aesthetics by the two artists, nevertheless tied by a feeling of suspence and ambiguity.
The Bed, the Pillow, the Dreaming, all suggest spaces and places where we are open to endless possibilities.

We used a real bed and its linens for the central part of the installation. behind the bed we built a hollow wooden structure, made to look like a cupboard, in which AB set up his set, visible through the peephole
